This is the information of the costs associated with CancunWithMe's custom Cancun private tours to Chichen Itza. My other Chichen Itza post has more general information regarding your options.

Transportation, for groups of 1 to 7 people, $410 and for groups of 8 to 14 $490

Toll road fees 900 pesos for the round trip. If you are going from Playa del Carmen or Puerto Aventuras area, there is a new section of the toll road that would get you there much quicker, and the round trip fare is a bit lower than from Cancun. If you are staying in Akumal or Tulum area, your best bet is to go through Coba, no tolls but lots of speed bumps. **** You do need PESOS to pay for these fees as they don't take credit cards or dollars ****

Chichen Itza admissions:
Adults 617 pesos
Children between 4 and 12 years of age 90 pesos
Parking 90 pesos
Optional local guide 1300 pesos
(rates updated Feb 2023)

Balam Kanche caves
137 pesos (closed until further notice March 2023)
**Balam Kanche lets people in once an hour on the hour, and if 3 or less people show up for a tour they reserve the right to cancel the tour and offer a refund**

Cenotes in Dzitnup. The popular stop for cenote is Ik Kill, basically a tourist trap, nice cenote but not with hundreds of other people. We take our groups to the cenotes in Dzitnup which are nicer, we encourage you to research this info to verify. They have two cenotes in the town of Dzitnup, Xkeken and Samula. The rate is 200 pesos and includes admission to both cenotes and the mandatory life jackets.

Lunch at local restaurant about 250 to 350 pesos per person. This is not the classic tour restaurant/buffet that serve mostly to tourists. We take folks to one of the best local restaurants in Valladolid, Oasis Familiar, that caters mostly to the locals. They specialize in Yucatecan classic dishes like Poc Chuch, Relleno Negro, Cochinita Pibil, Panuchos, Longaniza, Papadzules, etc. Most of the dishes are either chicken or pork based. Our past clients offer refer to it as the best meal they had while in vacation in the area. For those looking for a more high end type places, we suggest El Mezon del Marquez. They offer a full menu, incredible ambiance, and fair prices. El Mezon del Marquez does take credit cards while Oasis Familiar is pesos only.

Ek Balam Ruins
Adults little over 500 pesos
Children 12 and under 90 pesos
(updated Feb 2023)

The fees we mention in pesos you are better off paying in pesos, and the fees mentioned in USD you are better off paying in USD.

In the 12 hours that we offer, folks would be able to visit Chichen Itza, the two centoes in Dzitnup, lunch in Valladolid, and finish with a visit to Ek Balam or Tequila Factory. The majority of the tours we do visit Chichen Itza, Xkeken cenote, have lunch in Valladolid, then finish with a visit to Ek Balam. The goal is for you guys to decide which stops you want to make and how long you want to stay at each of the locations.

It usually takes little over 2 hours to get from Cancun HZ to Chichen Itza, but at the moment they are doing major road work on the toll road because of the Mayan train, so now it is closer to 3 hours. On the plus side, Cancun/Quintana Roo state are now on their own time zone. We are now one hour ahead of the rest of Mexico. We are currently suggesting a 6:30am pickup Cancun time, which would get groups to Chichen Itza around 8am, shortly after they open. This way we beat all the large bus tours, plus it is much cooler in the mornings before the sun starts to warm everything up. For many folks a 6:30 am start is too early, specially during vacation. We can start the tour at what ever time you decide. However the later you start the less stops you can make, basically you can't start at 8am, and expect to visit Chichen, Balam Kanche, two centoes, lunch and Ek Balam since all attractions close by 5pm.

The stops I've mentioned are the most populars and what we suggest for time visitors to the area, however we can help you set up a customize your tour with other stops instead, like a visit to San Bernardino convent, Casa Venado museum, the Tequila Factory (which is not as touristy as the ones in Cancun and Playa del Carmen), etc.

Hello Manny we want to leave from Villa Del Mar at 6 am per your suggestion. Go to Chichen Itza. We also want to go to Sambal Cenote. Is there a zip line course in between the two destinations or? I like to utilize the time we have with the van. Please let me know. And it looks like I will have to scan the form and email it back to you or is there a better way?
Thank you Anna Berg.

There are no ziplines in the area. The chichen link has most of the info and options for the chichen tour.

The form is a word document. No need to print it out, you can open the file, fill in the info then save the file and send it as an ayyachment.

Most folks pay the tolls, meals, admissions, etc as they go, and when we return they pay our balance. Some chose to pay our balance at the beginning of the trip.
