Cancun Local Cell Phone Rental

I only know of one other company in Cancun renting local cell phones, and their rates are very high, for what they charge, it almost seems you are better off paying the roaming charges your cell company would charge you. Local cell phone companies have lowered their international rates (specifically to USA and Canada), which is why I am able to offer this service to you guys.

I often find the "All Inclusive" term to be sarcastic, since they seem to find many ways to charge you for extras, and when they charge you they REALLY charge you. The two biggies I have noticed are phone and Internet service. Making phone calls from the resorts can be expensive, even if you are making local phone calls, and if you want internet access, it too can be pricey, so much for all inclusive.

When you plan your trip you don't worry about the small details, but once you are in town, there are many reasons why you would want to use the phone. Either to make or confirm restaurant reservations, find out details about a tour you found out about, etc. This is where having one of my local cell phones would come in really handy.

I didn't search all the different companies, but I did check with ATT. You can activate a Mexico/Canada plan for an additional $30 per month (you can have it for one month only) which would give you 80 minutes incoming or outgoing. With my cell phones you get unlimited incoming calls, and with the $30 basic phone plan you get to make up to 200 outgoing minutes worth of calls to Mexico,USA or Canada, and with the $50 smartphone you get to make up to 500 minutes worth of calls to Mexico, USA or Canada. A much better value.

If you plan to travel with a large group, this is also a great tool for you guys to stay in touch with one another. You can hire more than one phone from us. The smartphones get unlimited talk minutes between them by default, and we can setup the basic phones to have unlimited talk time (up to 3 phone numbers, and only the first 5 minutes are free but you can hang up and dial again)
